School News
Mr. Keane will be working with sixth grade students tomorrow, February 22nd to enter their elective course choices for the upcoming school year directly into Infinite Campus. Families may view a list of elective classes in their student’s Google Classroom for their science class. Please contact Mr. Keane at [email protected] with questions. Information on the elective selection process for current seventh grade students will be communicated soon.
Our choir students will be performing on Thursday, February 22 at 6 pm in the cafetorium. The set list features fourteen songs by artists that are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Our Technology Student Association students are presenting projects and competing at the Colorado Technology Student Association State Conference tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday morning. We hope they do well and have a great time!
All Jeffco families are invited to complete the 2023-24 Panorama Education Family-School Relationships Survey by Friday, February 23. Our learners are our future, and your feedback will help our district continue to make decisions and measure outcomes based on how well we serve our students.
Our next Coffee with the Counselors will take place Friday, February 23rd from 8:45 - 9:45 am in room 109 on the subject of healthy relationships. Join us to learn how to strengthen our relationships with our children and ways to guide them into healthy relationship choices of their own. The draft minutes from the January School Accountability Committee meeting are available on the school website. The next meeting will take place on Monday, February 26 at 4 pm.
Students that eat school lunch, please have your student ID ready to scan the barcode in the lunch line. If you need a replacement ID, please email Mrs. Baker and note your Period 2 class.
Students that have formed teams for the Jeffco Middle School Battle of the Books should be reading the books and taking notes in preparation for our school competition.
2024 Day Without Hate t-shirts are available to preorder for $6 with order form and payment turned into the main office by Friday, March 8. Shirts will be delivered by the week of April 15th.
Every January and February, Jeffco schools collect items for Grub Club, a program that provides boxes of food items and toiletries to Jeffco high school students in need. This year, West Jeff Middle is collecting macaroni and cheese cups through March 8. Direct donations may be made online.
Families were sent an email on Thursday, February 8 with information on No Place for Hate®, a national program that will help us incorporate new anti-bias and bullying prevention resources into our existing programs. The email listed several steps that families and students can take to participate. To learn more or to get involved with No Place for Hate®, please contact Melissa Shute at [email protected].

PTA News
Our PTA is sponsoring a school supplies drive through March to restock pencils, non-spiral notebooks, two-pocket folders, colored pencils, glue sticks, tissues, washable markers, sticky notes, and Flair felt-tip pens. If you would like to support this initiative, please consider making a monetary donation or committing to pick up supplies from the list. There are bins at school to collect items. Thank you!
Get ready for the Glow Gala, 6 - 7:30 pm on Friday, March 1st at our school! Dress to impress and enjoy a photo booth, face painting, bracelet making, temporary tattoos, glow games, glow merch, a DJ, refreshments, and fun! Admission to the event is free with a completed permission slip, with extra glowing merchandise available to purchase. (Cash/card accepted, nothing over $5.)
If you are interested in serving as an adult volunteer to help with event setup, chaperoning, and post-event cleanup or donating snacks or bottled water, please use the Glow Gala SignUpGenius.
The next School Store is coming up Thursday, March 14 during lunches. Students may pay with cash, card or Google/Apple Pay. Nothing is over $5 and all proceeds benefit the PTA which goes right back to helping students! Check out the flier of new items for more information.

Trivia Night: Conifer High School PTSA invites the community to their annual Mind Blown Trivia Night fundraiser on Saturday, March 2nd at Our Lady of the Pines, 9444 Eagle Cliff Rd, Conifer. Tickets are available for $25 per single player or $175 for a table of eight players.
South Jeffco Football: South Jeffco Coyotes player evaluations for the 2024 football season will take place on Sundays - March 3, April 14 - at the Columbine High School gymnasium. Registration is required and players should be prepared with sneakers and a water bottle.
Register now for Conifer's Got Talent: Conifer's Got Talent is calling for youth talent submissions by March 15! Scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2024 from 6 - 9 pm at Conifer High School, winning contestants will earn the opportunity to perform as opening acts for the 2024 EPRD Summer Concert Series at Evergreen Lake or at Buchanan Fields. Conifer's Got Talent is open to musicians, singers, actors, and comedians 18 years old and younger who are part of the greater Conifer mountain community. Satos Run Club: Registration is open for a running club program open to students in the mountain area. Training sessions are every Wednesday and Saturday from March 27 through May 18. Please visit the Satos Run Club website for more information.
Juniors Recreational Mountain Bike Program: Registration opens January 3 for a recreational mountain bike program in Conifer offered by Avout Racing. Practices will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting April 16 for the spring season. Most practices will be held at parks in or near Conifer. Mountain Predators Football and Cheer: Registration is open for the 2024 Mountain Predators tackle football and cheerleading season! Summer Musical Theatre Camp: Registration is open for Ovation West Performing Arts and Mountain Youth Musicals’ summer programs at CenterStage in Evergreen. Programs for middle-school-aged students include Theatre Tech one and two-week sessions and a two-week session for students ages 12 - 14 by June 1 to perform scenes from Hadestown.
