Enrollment/Registration

New Students

Please contact the school during summer office hours – 7 am to 2 pm through June 13, then again beginning July 10 – to enroll students over the summer. Some student enrollment and registration information can be submitted online via the Online Registration module in Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

For each student enrolling, the following documents are required:

  • Birth certificate;

  • Immunization Record (immunization requirements in English / en Español);

  • Proof of residency (house contract, deed, lease agreement or bill mailed to the home);

  • Address, phone, and fax number of last school attended, or copy of previous school records.

 


Current Students

All families will use EnrollJeffco between December 5, 2023 and January 12, 2024 to indicate whether their students will be attending their district-assigned (neighborhood) school or applying to other schools in the district.

 

8th grade students: Conifer High School registration materials are delivered to current 8th grade students in January through social studies classes and collected about a week later through Advise classes.

For the 2024-2025 school year, Conifer High School counselors visited 8th grade social studies classes on Tuesday, January 9. Students were given a pink sheet and registration materials. They will need to fill out the pink sheet with classes they want to take and when the online version of registration is opened in Campus at the end of January, families can input those classes into Campus.

The high school curriculum showcase, Future Lobo Night, was held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Conifer High School.

 

6th and 7th grade students: Registration materials are distributed to current 6th and 7th grade students in the spring and collected about a week later through Advise classes.

For the 2024-2025 school year, current 6th grade students were given information through their science classes and worked with counselor Mr. Dan Keane on Thursday, February 22 to input their elective choices into Infinite Campus. Additional information, including dates, for current 7th grade students to input their elective choices into Infinite Campus will be communicated once available.

 

5th grade students: Registration materials for current 5th grade students are distributed through our feeder schools in February and collected about two weeks later through 5th grade classes. For the 2024-2025 school year, turned-in registration materials will be collected by our counselors on [MONTH] [DAY].

 

All students: Families where specific educational needs have been identified for their student that they feel warrant special consideration in their classroom/team placement are asked to complete a parent input form and return it to the West Jefferson Middle School office as soon as possible.

Students Outside Our Area (was Choice Enrollment)

Illustration of a compass.If West Jefferson Middle is not your district-assigned school and you would like to apply to attend our school during the school year beginning August 2024, first round applications will be accepted using EnrollJeffco between December 5, 2023 and January 12, 2024. Second round applications will be accepted from January 19 through August 30, 2024.

Families that submit a first round choice application will hear from all the schools they applied to in late January. EnrollJeffco users that applied for schools will receive a notification indicating (1) an opportunity to accept an offer, or (2) information about wait list placement, for each school application. You have five days to accept an offer; only one offer may be accepted.
