School News

Let's celebrate the graduate!Thank you to everyone who celebrated our eighth grade students at our 8th grade Continuation ceremony today and to our PTA volunteers for putting on the 8th grade End of Middle School Bash tonight. We wish the class of 2026 luck in their future endeavors.

Our school office summer hours are 7 am to 2 pm weekdays through June 10 and July 11 through August 5. The office will be closed June 13 through July 8. Regular office hours of 7 am to 3:30 pm weekdays begin on Monday, August 8.

Adults interested in serving on the School Accountability Committee may contact the school office or email [email protected]. The May 2022 minutes have been published online.

Jeffco Food & Nutrition Services reminds families to check in SchoolCafé to see whether their student has a negative meal balance, meaning they owe money for food they have consumed. While negative balances follow a student during their time in Jeffco, payment options are available. Please email [email protected] or call 303-982-2174 with questions.

Jeffco Public Schools has shared the following resources for families to help discuss the loss we feel as a society following the events of May 24th in Uvalde, Texas:

We hope each and every one of our students knows they are special, they are cared for, they are connected to their school, and that we can't wait to see them again in August.

Eighth Grade Reminders

Conifer High School would like all incoming ninth grade students to have a public library card. Families of eighth grade students are asked to complete the library card permission form if their student will need a card of their own or will be using an adult family member's card. If the student already has a library card, they do not need to fill out the form.

Incoming ninth grade students at Conifer High School will be provided with a new Lenovo 300e touchscreen Chromebook as their TechForEd district 1:1 learning device. Please read the 2022-23 Incoming Families Communication letter for more information. Additional information on the program will be communicated through the Conifer High School website. Any questions before then may be directed to principal Mr. Paxton or digital teacher-librarian Mrs. McIntosh.

As our 8th graders prepare to move on to high school, many will also be starting on the path to becoming licensed drivers. Driver's education in Colorado can start as early as age 14½, and DriveSafe Driving Schools has provided a flier to explain the required steps and timelines.

Summer Food Information

2022-2023 School Meals Update

Jeffco Food and Nutrition Services would like families to be aware that starting in August 2022, school meals will no longer be provided at no cost to all students. They will be charged based on the student's free, reduced, or paid meal eligibility. Meal prices for the 2022-23 school year will be the same as the 2019-20 school year at a price of $3.50 for secondary lunch.

Free & Reduced Lunch ApplicationStarting July 1, families can complete a Free & Reduced Meal application for the 2022-23 school year won SchoolCafé. Paper applications are available from schools and at the Food & Nutrition Services office, 809 Quail Street Building 1, Lakewood. Families can use SchoolCafé to view school menus and set up an account to make payments to their student's meal account, place restrictions on items and frequency of their student's a la carte purchases, and apply for free/reduced price lunch..
