EnrollJeffco first round enrollment open December 10

EnrollJeffco is our district's digital enrollment system. From December 10, 2019 to January 15, 2020, all families will use EnrollJeffco to enroll their student(s) in their neighborhood school, indicate they are returning to the same school, or apply to a new/different school (preschool and choice enrollment).

Please take a few moments to check out and give some thought to where your student(s) will attend school in the 2020-21 school year. Families will receive an email in December with directions for next steps.

Winter MAP testing

Our students will be participating in MAP testing after Thanksgiving break. Measures of Academic Progress, abbreviated as MAP, is given three times a year. The testing gives immediate feedback on students' growth to help guide teacher instruction.

MAP testing will take place during students' subject classes; Math MAP testing is expected to take place during the week of December 2 and MAP Reading during the week of December 9. Bell schedules are not impacted during this time.

Please be sure to avoid making appointments for your students during their testing times and encourage them to get a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast prior to their tests.

Please contact Tricia Samuelson or Caity Mergendahl if you have any questions about MAP testing.

Paraeducator and Cafeteria Positions Available

We have an immediate opening for an Independence Support Paraeducator. The position is 7 hours/day and the hourly pay starts at $15.48. Interested candidates may contact principal's secretary Julie Barrett or apply through the Jeffco Job Board website.

If you know someone interested in working a 4-hour shift weekdays with the same days off as our students, our cafeteria has openings for two part-time kitchen workers.
