Upcoming Events

Thank you to everyone that participated in, volunteered for, or donated to our Monster Dash fun run! Online fundraising will stay open through Sunday, November 10. The final ticket distribution will take place the week of November 11 in Advise and students will be able to bid on gift cards and teacher experiences through that week. Copies of all the event material may be found on the Fundraising page of our school website. If you’d like to set up your student's online fundraising, the Get Movin Fund Hub parent registration link includes our school code. Your student may also turn in donation checks to the office or to their Advise teacher. Please make checks payable to WJMS PTA and include the student's name and Advise teacher on the memo line.

Our sixth grade students return from Outdoor Lab schools on Friday, November 8 and need to be picked up from West Jeff Middle by 12:00 PM. They cannot ride their regular bus routes on Friday afternoon, so please make arrangements for transportation with their luggage if a family member is not available at those times. An adult will also need to sign out any medications that were sent with the student to Outdoor Lab.

The first trimester of the 2019-2020 school year ends this Friday, November 8th. Grades will be available on Infinite Campus/Portal after 3:30 PM on Monday, November 11.

We recognize the veterans in our lives and community with an assembly on Veterans Day. A reception for our guests and their families follows with light refreshments in the cafeteria. Please use the Google Form linked from our Veterans Day page to submit information about veterans you would like honored in our slideshow and to RSVP.

Coffee with the Counselors

In November, we hope to kick off a monthly information session series, Coffee with the Counselors, where the counselors will present on a particular topic that may be beneficial to our families. Sessions are expected to be held monthly at the school and run from 7:30 - 8:30 am with time for further discussions and questions afterward. Adult family members are welcome to attend and light refreshments (coffee & donuts) will be served. Official dates will be communicated via Weekly Wednesday Update.

Please help launch the new program by filling out a brief survey to identify topics of interest:

EnrollJeffco School Finder tool

The EnrollJeffco School Finder tool opened on Tuesday, November 5th. The School Finder tool will help your family:

  • Learn what kind of programs your neighborhood school offers
  • Locate schools offering specific services like before-and-after-school care or preschool programs
  • Find basic information like school hours, location, and website links
  • Identify schools with certain academic models or extracurricular activities
  • Discover the wide variety of schools available in Jeffco

EnrollJeffco is our district's digital enrollment system. From December 10, 2019 to January 15, 2020, all families will use EnrollJeffco to enroll their student(s) in their neighborhood school, indicate they are returning to the same school, or apply to a new/different school (preschool and choice enrollment).

Please take a few moments to check out and give some thought to where your student(s) will attend school in the 2020-21 school year. Families will receive an email in December with directions for next steps.
