Our Veterans Day assembly will take place on Friday, November 9th from 8:00 - 9:00 am in the gym.

Book Fair Update

A huge thank you to all who supported the fall Scholastic Book Fair in our library. Your generosity helped us add 80 new books to the library's collection! We are looking at using our remaining Fair profit to update our audiobook collection and purchase library supplies.

Lost and Found Jewelry

While bagging up the Lost & Found items, some jewelry was found in a coat pocket. If you are missing some rings, please contact the main office. You will need to describe the rings in detail to our school resource officer.

Social Change Day Fair

On Thursday, November 15th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, the 8th grade students in Mr. Fisher’s classes will be conducting a Social Change Day Fair, which will consist of over 50 students running dozens of tables on a variety of social issues and causes: homelessness, animal rights, space exploration, gun rights, capital punishment, domestic abuse, and many others.

Our students have been working very hard on their tables and need an audience! Adult relatives and community members are invited to attend Social Change Day and provide real-world feedback to our students. Please email Mr. Fisher at to let him know if you can attend.

Sixth Grade Volunteer Editors

Our sixth grade language arts classes are seeking adults interested in volunteering to help students with their narrative rough drafts on Thursday, November 15. The rubric can be provided to you ahead of time so that you are prepared to help. Please contact Ms. Barhoover, Mrs. Buffington, or Mrs. Vance if you are interested in helping. Thank you!

Interact will be meeting Thursday, November 15th after school, 2:30 to 3:30 pm in the library.

Yearbook wants your sports photos!

If you would like photos of your athletic activities considered for inclusion in this year’s yearbook, please share them with Mrs. Kavanaugh by November 29! You may send action shots or team photos by email to or leave prints, discs, or thumb drives in her teacher mailbox in the main office. Please include the names of all athletes in the photograph and the team name. For more information see your friendly neighborhood Yearbook staff.
