As summer winds down, we have information to share for our families to be prepared for classes to start.

When is the first day of school?

Sixth grade students begin on Thursday, August 17th. Their first day includes a guided tour of the school and structured team-building activities as part of the WEB program.

All students begin attending regular classes on Friday, August 18th. The doors open at 7:20 am and classes start at 7:30 am. The school day ends at 2:20 pm.

What does my student need for school?

Please refer to our School Supply List, which details the supplies for students' core classes (English/Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies). Supplies for elective classes will be communicated by the teachers. Paper copies are available at local stores: the King Soopers at 25637 Conifer Rd, the Safeway at 27152 Main St, and the Staples at 10853 US Highway 285.

What do families have to do online for the new school year?

The following items must be completed by all families in Jeffco Connect by [DATE]. Your username and password for Jeffco Connect are the same as your username and password for Parent Portal. If you are locked out of your account or forgot your password, you can reset your password.

Once you have logged in, click on your student's name to access their information. If you have more than one student, you will need to click on each one and go through the check-in process.

Reminder: If your student is new to Jeffco, you must first ENROLL them. Once enrolled (or if they are already enrolled as a Jeffco student), then follow all of these steps.

Jeffco Connect

  • Residence: Click on “Residence” to verify that your home address and mailing address are accurate.

  • Contacts: Click on “Contacts” to verify parent/guardian and emergency contact information is accurate, including email addresses and phone numbers.

  • Enrollment: Click on “Enrollment” and check listed boxes as applicable.

  • Agreements: Click on “Agreements”, then read and sign the agreements for the Student and Family Handbook (Code of Conduct), Bring Your Own Device, and opting out of publications.

  • Health: Click on “Health” to read about the Colorado Immunization Information System and either approve or not approve. Enter any significant health concerns your student may have.

Fees and Lunch Payments

  • On the Home page of Jeffco Connect, click on Jeffco Student Fee Payment. You may make payments for the current school year with your debit or credit card. You will need your student’s ID number to pay fees. (You may pay fees for all of your students in one payment.)

  • Click on MealPayPlus to make payments for lunch. (A $2.00 fee will be charged per transaction.)

  • You may apply for free or reduced lunch at https://lunchapps.jeffco.k12.co.us. If approved, you may qualify for free or reduced bus fees as well.

We are new to the area. How do we register our student for school?

Please call the school between 7 am and 2 pm to begin the enrollment process. Some student enrollment and registration information can be submitted online via Jeffco Connect.

For each child enrolling, the following documents are required:

  • Birth certificate;

  • Immunization Record (immunization requirements in English / en Español);

  • Proof of residency (house contract, deed, lease agreement or bill mailed to the home);

  • Address, phone, and fax of last school attended, or copy of previous school records.

Where can I find community assistance for ensuring my student has what they need for school?

The Mountain Resource Center in Conifer can assist families with required immunizations and school supplies. Their school supply distribution event is on Thursday, August 3 at their offices, which are located at 11030 Kitty Drive. Please call the center at 303-838-7552 for more information on immunizations and other services they offer.

The free and reduced lunch program application is available online at https://lunchapps.jeffco.k12.co.us/ . If your student was enrolled to receive lunch benefits at the end of the previous school year, their status will carry over until Friday, September 8, 2017.
