WJMS Night at Conifer Volleyball

Good afternoon, West Jeff Middle families. This is your Weekly Wednesday Update for September 12, 2018.

School News

Safety Information Night

Join us at the school tonight from 6:00 to 7:30 pm for Safety Information Night, where we will learn about trends that impact our safety on computers and mobile devices, vaping, and exposure to trauma:

  • Deputy Wonner, our Student Resource Officer, will provide information on social media, texting, and tips for maintaining a safe online presence.

  • Our social emotional learning specialist, Dave Fennimore, will cover the issues and dangers concerning adolescent vaping. Mr. Schoenhals will discuss the school-wide policy regarding vaping on school grounds.

  • Finally, our social worker, Bridget Williams, and Dave Fennimore will discuss trauma and its impact on students academically and socially.

We hope that you will join us for an opportunity to learn about the supports that West Jefferson Middle School has in place to create a safe and healthy learning environment for your student. We have set aside time after the presentations to welcome your questions.
