Science Night

Tonight, Wednesday, September 5th is our fourth annual Science Night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The event brings in over 300 visitors from our community and area elementary schools with quick, easy, and fun science experiments and experiences set up at staffed tables in our cafeteria and on our playing field for scientists of all ages to choose to participate in on a drop-in basis.

School Accountability Committee

All interested adults are welcome to participate in the school accountability process. Our School Accountability Committee's primary role is making recommendations about school improvement plans and spending priorities, as well as their implementation and evaluation. The committee meets on the second Monday of the month after school; their first meeting of the year will be Monday, September 10th from 2:30 - 3:45 in the West Jeff library.

Safety Information Night

On Wednesday, September 12th, West Jefferson Middle School will be hosting a Parent/Student Safety Information Night from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the cafeteria. Deputy Wonner, our Student Resource Officer, and David Fennimore, our Social Emotional Learning Specialist, will be presenting at this event.

285 Backpack Program

Families interested in receiving a bag of non-perishable food each Friday afternoon to help over the weekend may print, complete and send in the attached form or contact counselor Craig Enlund to request enrollment. There are no requirements to qualify for the program. Bags are delivered every Friday throughout the school year, beginning the week after a family enrolls, and the bags are delivered without identifying or singling out recipients.
