New Students

Students new to the area may enroll at the school during the school year. Please call the school during summer office hours – 7 am to 2 pm through June 13, then again beginning July 12 – to enroll students over the summer. Some student enrollment and registration information can be submitted online via Jeffco Connect.

For each student enrolling, the following documents are required:

  • Birth certificate;

  • Immunization Record (immunization requirements in English / en Español);

  • Proof of residency (house contract, deed, lease agreement or bill mailed to the home);

  • Address, phone, and fax number of last school attended, or copy of previous school records.

Current Students

8th grade students: Conifer High School registration materials are delivered to current 8th grade students in January through social studies classes and collected about a week later through Advise classes.​ For the 2018-2019 school year, high school counselors visited classes on January 16 and 17, then collected completed registration material during Advise on January 22 and 23.

6th and 7th grade students: Registration materials are distributed to current 6th and 7th grade students in the spring and collected about a week later through Advise classes. For the 2018-2019 school year, materials were distributed the week of March 12 and are due back to Advise teachers on March 19.

5th grade students: Registration materials for current 5th grade students are distributed through our feeder schools in February and collected about two weeks later through 5th grade classes. For the 2018-2019 school year, turned-in registration materials were collected by our counselors on March 2nd.

All grades: Families where specific educational needs have been identified for their student that they feel warrant special consideration in their classroom/team placement are asked to complete a parent input form and return it to the West Jefferson Middle School office as soon as possible.

Choice Enrollment

If you live outside the geographic area served by West Jefferson Middle School and would like to apply to attend our school during the school year beginning August 2018, the First Round Choice Enrollment application window is January 8, 2018 to January 31, 2018.

Students are accepted on a space available basis. A separate application must be completed and submitted for each child. Waiting lists, which are prioritized, will be created if applicants exceed space available.

If a student is not accepted at a school during the first round Choice Enrollment, the student will remain on the prioritized wait list and be carried over to Second Round Choice Enrollment. The Second Round Choice Enrollment window is February 9, 2018 to August 31, 2018.
